Certified Nurse Midwife, Owner & Clinical Director

Marsha has over twelve years of experience in obstetrical care. During her bachelor's program at Texas Tech University, Marsha saw the effects of patient empowerment through education and support while leading prenatal classes for teenage mothers. Upon graduation with her Bachelors in Nursing, she continued to care for women and their families as a registered nurse on labor & delivery, nursery, and postpartum units in Texas and Oklahoma.  Marsha first saw midwives in action after a move to DFW brought her to work with a midwife group. These women impacted birth experiences in a way that spoke to Marsha's long held desire for patient empowerment - and she knew that her road was midwifery! Her midwifery training was completed at Frontier Nursing University where she obtained a Masters of Nursing degree. Marsha worked alongside obstetricians as a midwife for several years before opening Flourish. She enjoyed two births under the care of midwives - one at a birth center and one home birth. Marsha also loves spending time outdoors with her family, cooking, and hosting gatherings.

Office Administrator & Birth Assistant

Kathleen has twenty-seven years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse, and has worked alongside some of the finest midwives in DFW.  She brings a wealth of knowledge to the table, with experience in birth across settings - hospital, home birth, and birth centers. Her passion for birth is fueled by the joy she feels in the delivery room when women navigate their own path of bringing a child into the world. As a nurse at Flourish, Kathleen's focus is to honor, respect, and empower each mother and her family during birth, drawing on both professional knowledge and compassion. She is nationally certified in obstetric nursing and is a member of the Association of Women's Health Obstetrics & Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN). Kathleen is a fetal monitor instructor with AWHONN, equipping colleagues around the country to better care for mothers and babies. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, needle crafting, and quilting.

"Flourish has a perfect and unique blend of clinical knowledge and authentic, compassionate care. I consider it a huge honor to be a part of the Flourish team."

Community Director, Instructor & Birth Assistant

Mallory is a mother of four and truly feels a calling to encourage and empower women in the way of birth. Mallory desires to create a community for Flourish moms, planning and executing events to further support the journey of pregnancy and motherhood. You'll see her at Flourish Cafe, read her words of encouragement through our social media accounts, and experience her passion for Flourish moms - at the birth center and out in the community. She believes in the mission of Flourish so much so that she now has her certifications & training to be a birth assist! Mallory holds a Masters degree in psychology, and in her spare time enjoys reading, interior decorating, and spending time with her family.

"I feel truly blessed to be able to spend time helping women connect to the Flourish family. Flourish Birth and Wellness Center has greatly impacted my life and I want nothing more than to share it with all other moms."

Taylor is a homeschool mother of 3, all born in the out-of-hospital setting. Taylor has taught birth classes and worked as a doula for seven years. Her interest in teaching birth classes and working as a doula started after a very long, but well supported birth with her first baby. She later began her journey to becoming a birth assistant and has been doing so for three years now. Taylor and her husband of eleven years are happy to be homesteaders raising goats, rabbits, and chickens! Taylor enjoys spending time doing home renovation projects, canning, sewing, reading, and camping.

"Supporting parents as they begin or grow their family is one of the greatest joys of my life. I am so thankful to work with a team that provides the highest level of medical care combined with the experience, compassion and knowledge of midwives."

Being the oldest of 8 children, Morgan developed a love for childbirth and babies. She loved adding new babies to the family every few years and was even able to attend the birth of her youngest sister. Anxious to learn more about childbirth and begin working in this field, she obtained her doula certification. She went on to graduate from nursing school and work in labor and delivery. In addition to her work at Flourish, Morgan works on staff at her church part time. She is a classical violinist and teaches lessons as well as performs in two different orchestras in the Denton area. With her free time, she loves practicing her violin, baking, and spending time with her husband and her goldendoodle named Elliot.

"During my doula training, I attended a delivery at a birth center and fell in love with the birth center model of care. My goal has always been to work at a place like Flourish."

Rachel is originally from a tiny town just southeast of Houston, Texas, but she has been able to call Denton County her home for the past 15 years. Rachel attended UNT in 2007 and obtained her BS in Gerontology. She then spent 12 years working in the senior care industry. After having her daughter at a birthing center, Rachel new a career change was in her future. This experience is what gave her the desire to become a birth assistant. Additionally, this experience prompted Rachel to pursue a career in nursing and is currently working towards her prerequisites for nursing school. In her spare time, Rachel can be found baking, reading, going to live shows, traveling, and camping. She spends most of her time with her husband, daughter, and their pet dog and cat.

"After my experience at a birthing center and becoming a mom, I knew my calling was to help new moms bring babies into this world."

Whether you are actively trying to become pregnant, or perhaps just want to better prepare for pregnancy one day, a preconception visit can help give you useful, personalized information and advice. Fertility awareness and optimizing your chances for conception can be discussed, along with lab work and cultures as an available service. We can even help you get a head start on managing early pregnancy discomforts like morning sickness!

Prenancy in White

Prenatal care visits are scheduled throughout your pregnancy in alignment with evidence based, medical practice. Your prenatal visits will allow plenty of time to answer your questions - our limited patient volume allows for it! We will develop a trusting relationship for shared decision making in preparation for your birth.

Choose from our two beautiful birth suites for the empowering birth of your child. You will have your midwives by your side, along with the support team you choose. The suites feel like home; medical supplies are tucked away. The room is yours, and the moment is here - let's birth your way.

Your care doesn't end when you leave the birth center. Our team will visit you, in your home, within 72 hours after the birth of your child. Back at Flourish, we want to check up with you at two weeks and six weeks postpartum. As always, you will have access to your midwives 24 hours a day by phone for any concerns you have.
