OUR TEAM

MARSHA GROSS APRN, CNM, MSN
Certified Nurse Midwife, Owner & Clinical Director
Marsha has over ten years of experience in obstetrical care. During her bachelor's program at Texas Tech University, Marsha saw the effects of patient empowerment through education and support while leading prenatal classes for teenage mothers. Upon graduation with her Bachelors in Nursing, she continued to care for women and their families as a registered nurse on labor & delivery, nursery, and postpartum units in Texas and Oklahoma. Marsha first saw midwives in action after a move to DFW brought her to work with a midwife group. These women impacted birth experiences in a way that spoke to Marsha's long held desire for patient empowerment - and she knew that her road was midwifery! Her midwifery training was completed at Frontier Nursing University where she obtained a Masters of Nursing degree. Marsha worked alongside obstetricians as a midwife for several years before opening Flourish. She enjoyed two births under the care of midwives - one at a birth center and one home birth. Marsha also loves spending time outdoors with her family, cooking, and hosting gatherings.

KATHLEEN RNC-OB
Office Administrator & Birth Assistant
Kathleen has twenty-five years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse, and has worked alongside some of the finest midwives in DFW. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the table, with experience in birth across settings - hospital, home birth, and birth centers. Her passion for birth is fueled by the joy she feels in the delivery room when women navigate their own path of bringing a child into the world. As a nurse at Flourish, Kathleen's focus is to honor, respect, and empower each mother and her family during birth, drawing on both professional knowledge and compassion. She is nationally certified in obstetric nursing and is a member of the Association of Women's Health Obstetrics & Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN). Kathleen is a fetal monitor instructor with AWHONN, equipping colleagues around the country to better care for mothers and babies. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, needle crafting, and quilting.
"Flourish has a perfect and unique blend of clinical knowledge and authentic, compassionate care. I consider it a huge honor to be a part of the Flourish team."

MALLORY HARRIS
Community Director & Birth Assistant
Mallory is a mother of four and truly feels a calling to encourage and empower women in the way of birth. Mallory desires to create a community for Flourish moms, planning and executing events to further support the journey of pregnancy and motherhood. You'll see her at Flourish Cafe, read her words of encouragement through our social media accounts, and experience her passion for Flourish moms - at the birth center and out in the community. She believes in the mission of Flourish so much so that she now has her certifications & training to be a birth assist! Mallory holds a Masters degree in psychology, and in her spare time enjoys reading, interior decorating, and spending time with her family.
"I feel truly blessed to be able to spend time helping women connect to the Flourish family. Flourish Birth and Wellness Center has greatly impacted my life and I want nothing more than to share it with all other moms."

ANNA
Anna is the mother of 5 through birth and adoption and spends her days as a homeschool mom and homemaker. She's been married to her college sweetheart for 11 years after meeting in class at the University of North Texas. She holds a degree in Fine Arts Photography and still pursues that work but is now also loving every bit of her time in the birth world. Her interest and passion in natural birth came after the successful med-free hospital birth of her first child using the Bradley Method. Her subsequent second and third births at birth centers were just as successful and elating. Her desire to encourage women in and through natural labor and childbirth has only grown through the years. She continues to educate herself in labor, birth, and lactation with the pursuit of offering emotional and physical support to mothers and families during both labor and postpartum. In her time outside of homeschooling, you'll find her baking bread, crocheting, painting, reading, or taking her family camping.
"Childbirth has yet to become a job for me. I find it hugely rewarding to be part of the process, whether it's yours or mine. I hope to serve mothers with empowerment and gentleness during one of the most memorable days of their lives."

MORGAN RN
Birth Assistant
Being the oldest of 8 children, Morgan developed a love for childbirth and babies. She loved adding new babies to the family every few years and was even able to attend the birth of her youngest sister. Anxious to learn more about childbirth and begin working in this field, she obtained her doula certification. She went on to graduate from nursing school and work in labor and delivery. In addition to her work at Flourish, Morgan works on staff at her church part time. She is a classical violinist and teaches lessons as well as performs in two different orchestras in the Denton area. With her free time, she loves practicing her violin, baking, and spending time with her husband and her goldendoodle named Elliot.
"During my doula training, I attended a delivery at a birth center and fell in love with the birth center model of care. My goal has always been to work at a place like Flourish."
